Virginia, Here I Come!!
It’s hard to believe that it’s been a year since I trekked up to Walla Walla, Washington for the 2010 Wine Bloggers Conference. Hell, it’s hard to believe it’s been nearly a month since my last post (sorry!). What can I say? Time flies.
In any event, I’m off again (along with 300+ other wine bloggers) to
discover the wine of another far-off destination – this time in steamy Charlottesville, Virginia, where the weather forecast is calling for balmy 90-100+ degree weather and possible thunderstorms on Saturday and Sunday. Yuck. Why am I doing this again? Oh yeah, because I had such a great time last year and am admittedly somewhat curious about Virginia wines, especially given all the lobbying the Commonwealth did to get the WBC to set up camp there this year.
While I will absolutely attempt to do some proper blogging this weekend, if my experience at last year’s conference taught me anything it’s that it is a jam-packed weekend with precious little time to formulate deep and thoughtful prose. As such, my current plan is to post a few photo slideshows here on CorkPopper proper and do LOTS of tweeting (follow me here) and Facebooking (“like” the CorkPopper page here).
Cheers, and to anyone else headed to Charlottesville, I’ll see you there!

P.S. I will soon be announcing some big news that is sure to have a profound effect on this little blog, so please stay tuned!!
